Would there be any point in reformatting my computer? Is it possible that this is a hardware issue with the card, and if so are there any cards I could purchase to replace it?

(FYI by simply deactivating and then reactivating the device in the device manager the code 43 goes away, but still no access to the control panel).Īt this point I am running out of ideas.

I restarted my computer, and when it turned back on, there was still no Nvidia control panel when right clicking on the desktop and when I went back to the device manager, the Quadro was giving me the code 43 error again. I went to Microsoft page to get the Nvidia control panel app but when running the app as admin nothing happened. In C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\ but there wasn’t any Control Panel Client folder.

The code 43 went away in the device manager (it indicated that the Quadro card was working correctly) but there was no Nvidia control panel when right clicking on the desktop. The last driver I have installed is the 426.78 dch whql. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest Nvidia drivers, I reinstalled the latest bios and chipset drivers from dell website, I have tried creating a new user account and installing it on there, I have installed several different Nvidia drivers, and run an SFC test, and I still can’t get the card to work properly. I have exchanged quite a bit with Nvidia tech support (who have been super responsive and helpful btw) but unfortunately nothing has worked. In the device manager, the Nvidia card showed a code 43 error and I couldn't access the Nvidia control panel from the desktop.

The past few months I have had to use it a lot more than I used to because I was working from home and at some point I realised my modelling software wasn't using the Nvidia card but the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 card. I use it mainly for cad, 3d modelling and some rendering (Autocad, Rhino, Grasshopper, V-ray, Revit, Adobe CS). I am running a Dell M3800 precision laptop with an Nvidia Quadro K1100M gpu, currently with Windows 10 Pro (1), and have had it since 2015 without any problems.
